Joy!
Don't you just love it when you discover a cute little indulgence that makes you all 'commercial smiles' and warm insides...you know the kind of discovery no one else seems to be aware of...everyone is so oblivious to this new phenomenum! That phenomenum being 'Dilmah english toffee and peppermint tea! Oh geez, my tastebuds are having a pretty epic orgy, its pretty rad...I'm sipping as I type.

Well........I was off to a great start on Monday...and then somehow my 'beginning of the week/fresh start' enthusiastic state of euphoria' all came to a dramatic grinding halt, when I landed myself in hospital with a not so hospitable pair of medical staff.
Something is not quite right in the pit of my being (some gastro-intestinal issue yet to be diagnosed) Oh the pain. Good god. I was sure I was about to give birth to octuplet baby hippos. This seemed even more plausible following the first round of phentenol (morphine equivalent). I came home on wednesday with a severe case of post narcotic inebriation, the crutch of my pants torn (a so called dispute with the ambo guys)...and a packet of enemas.

Today for the first time in a very long time, I felt human. Perhaps I was simply distracted - my mind was not swamped with the usual white noise that accompanies this recent state of impending doom. I was too busy purchasing a violin, oh and playing nintendo with kyle...and eating malt balls and cooking mushroom soup. It's nice to just 'do things'

Some kind of wonderful...
Lately I've not being feeling my age, but rather quite beyond my years...and no, not wise. I feel old, antiquated,...half dead, so to speak. I just haven't felt very lively. So I have spent the afternoon reflecting, contemplating what it is that makes me feel a little more 'cognizant'...and I really believe it is important to not only have a 'purpose' or long term life goal, but many little ones - daily goals...or some kind of wonderful new and exciting project for each new day!
Today: I shall write a song (perhaps even a ballad!) and record it! To make this project an even more interesting process I shall consume copious amounts of goon. I'm excited.

Day 2
Found this awesome site about the daily rituals of famous writers....very handy, considering I am looking for outside guidance on 'structuring' my day, so that I may produce and achieve something valuable...

Sooooo...day one:
Today I woke half an hour earlier, at 5am, to do yoga. Or what I like to think of as yoga. Basically, I just moved from my bed to the floor, stuck some cafe del mar on the stereo and proceeded to sleep. It was however a 'change' of routine, and so I troddled along to work a tad more refreshed.

Okay so I'm not very good at the whole KISS principle(keep it simple stupid)...not really sure whether that is an indication of my stupidity, or the other way round... but that's beside the point...(although I think it must be the former) Anywhoooooo I have decided that this will be a great tactic for me - to simplify! Therefore in order to make this project a success I am going to use a lot of ...

I have had, what I am being led to believe is, an epiphany.
It seems all my problems in life stem from a lack of self motivation.
Hmmmm so I have been reading up on the topic of 'motivation' and have discovered some very interesting theories. I have concluded, after the plethora of information I have someone managed to digest, that there are two basic personality types when it comes to the posession of this most imperitive trait - Extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. I am 'extrinsically' motivated - in other words...I rely on the external, i.e other people, to do the hard work for me. Hence my problem with self-efficacy, time management and an inability to complete tasks on my own.
Therefore, in order to improve my ability in achieving some form of structure and progression in life (get my ass into gear) it is most beneficial that 'my type' enlist all possible external motivation and structural stimuli...i.e other people's perspectives, encouragement, advice, yada yada yada. Sooooooo anyway....
This blog was initially going to be just another medium in which to exploit my egotistical and narcassistic tendencies, as well as my obsessive quest for attention - however, I have decided that, after extensive contemplation, I should put in a little more effort. I have come up with what I like to think is a simply splendid idea...
A lemonade stand! A blog and 'forum' (a stand!) on which to experiment with life's lemons...
Basically I compile a list of things I want to do (the coulds, shoulds etc) and also all the random things, big or little that make life that much sweeter...and so each new post/blog becomes a project in which I cultivate ideas and put them into action!
